Our host, Taiga, was absolutely brilliant - he took us through a number of hidden back streets and alleys of Gion that were off the tourist path, and was a wealth of information about the history of the area. We visited a local Shrine and Taiga told us about the difference between a shrine and a temple, and really personalised the information to our interests. He also took us to a local restaurant and bar where we samples some local dishes. He was great fun and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around Gion with him, learning about the history, culture…”

“We highly recommend the tour! Hiro is a wonderful guide, who explained us so many details we would never have explored. We saw many beautiful places and enjoyed the lovely athmosphere at night. We had many questions about Japanes everyday life and Hiro answered them all. He speaks english fluently and good german as well (and may be other languages as well) and is a very interessting host. Plus: he took a lot of great pictures and send it to us next morning! We had a fun night!”
